The San Juan River in Nicaragua host a great number of non migrant tarpon,
they stay around the whole year, is a fishermen paradise. Great scenery, lots
of birds in a jungle river setting.
We are located in the rain forest of the Rio San Juan, at the entrance of
Reserva Silvestre Privada Montecristo and close to the national reserve
Indio-Maiz.
Or lodge was build in 1999 for sport fishing, but now we also carter to the eco
tourism sector.
Best fishing months: March, April, May / September, October , November
Equipment: Medium to heavy road with 15 to 50 pound line Medium bait
casting, spinning reel.
