Esta colección de aves ha sido catalogada y fotografiadas por el
Sr. Alfonso Agustin Llanes Whitesell, el cual tiene más de 5
años de estar observando las aves en el Rio San Juan. Este es el
primer intento de hacer una guía de aves del Rio San Juan. El ha
usado como guía el libro “The birds of Costa Rica de “Richard
Garrigues y Robert Dean, y en menor escala el libro “a Guide to
the Birds of Costa Rica” por Gary Stiles y Alexander F. Skutch.
This collection of birds has been cataloged by the owner of
Montecristo River Lodge, Mr. Alfonso Agustin Llanes
Whitesell, who has expended around 5 years observing
birds in Rio San Juan. This is the first time he tries to
make a working guide of birds in the San Juan River. He
has used the books “The Birds of Costa Rica by Richard
Garrigues and Robert Dean, and in a leaser scale the book
“a guide to The Birds of Costa Rica’ by Gary Stiles and
Alexander F. Sktch.
